Here are the six simple and quick steps for setting up Canon PIXMA Megatank G2260.

Preparing The Printer

Take the printer out of the box and remove the packing tapes.

  • Place your Canon printer on a neat surface.
  • Now, unpack the printer completely by removing all the packing tapes, cardboard pieces, and other unwanted materials.
  • Ensure that the Styrofoam sheet from the scanner glass is removed.
  • Now, place your unpacked printer closer to an electrical outlet and go to the next step of the Canon PIXMA G2260 setup.

Installing The Print Heads

Unpack and install the print heads on your printer.

  • Two print heads (black and color) are shipped along with the printer.
  • Open the scanner cover, followed by the print head locking cover.
  • Unpack the print heads.
  • Now, install the color print head on your left-hand side of the slot and the black one on the right.
  • Ensure that the heads are installed properly in their slots.

Configure Printer Settings

  • Align the ink bottle to the black tank. Wait for the tank to fill.
  • Once the tank is full, remove the bottle and close the tank cap.
  • Similarly, fill the color ink tank.

Loading Paper

Load the recommended paper type into the feeder.

  • Plain, Glossy, Semi-Gloss, Matte, Cardstock, Restickable Photo, Magnetic Photo, etc., are the paper types supported by the Canon PIXMA MegaTank G2260 printer.
  • Choose the one you prefer from the recommended list.
  • Open the paper support followed by the feed slot cover.
  • Now, align and load the paper into the feeder with its print-side facing up.
  • Adjust the width guides properly.
  • Close the feed slot cover.
  • Open the output tray.

Install the printer on your computer using the compatible software.
