Make sure that all the contents are available inside the box.

UNBOXING THE PRINTER

Unpack the box and remove the setup documents, power cord, and ink cartridges from the package.
Now, slowly pull the printer out from the box.
Discard the foam packing materials from both sides of the printer.
Uncover your printer from the plastic bag.
Remove the blue protective tapes around the HP ENVY 6455e printer.
Lift the ink cartridge access door and discard the protective tapes.
Open the scanner lid and remove the foam sheet from the scanner glass.
Close the scanner lid.

CONNECTING THE POWER CORD

Connect the power cord to the rear port of your printer and an electrical outlet.
The printer will turn on automatically.
Now, a purple light will start to flash.

LOADING THE PAPER

Pull out the input tray from the printer.
Slide the paper width guides to the outermost position.
Insert the plain white sheets into the paper tray and adjust the paper width guides until they rest at the edge of the stack.
Do not load the sheets above the maximum limit.
Reinsert the input tray into the printer.

INSTALLING INK CARTRIDGES:

When you’re setting up your HP ENVY 6455e printer for the first time, a light will blink at the machine’s corner, which indicates that you have to install the ink cartridges.
Now, lift the ink cartridge access door of your printer.
Unpack one of the cartridges from the package.
Discard the protective tapes from the ink cartridge.
Now, lift the lid and insert the ink cartridge into the respective slot.

Close the cartridge lid.
Repeat these instructions to insert the remaining ink cartridges.

Open the default browser on your computer.
Now, go to the official support page of your HP ENVY 6455e printer to download the Manual.
Click on the Support tab and choose the Support and troubleshooting option from the list.

USING THE WPS METHOD

Before starting the Wi-Fi setup, check whether the wireless router supports the WPS feature. If you are using the router with a WPS push button, follow the instructions below.

Press and hold the Wireless and Power buttons together for three seconds to begin the WPS push button method.
The edge lighting will glow in purple repeatedly at the outside edges of the light bar.
Next, press your router’s WPS button.

Once the HP ENVY 6455e printer is connected successfully to the Wi-Fi network, the outside edges of the light bar will start to glow in purple.
If your router does not have a WPS button, use the PIN method by following the below steps.

CHECK THE CONNECTIVITY

First, ensure that the power cord is connected properly to the printer's rear port and electrical outlet.

CHECK THE PRINTER STATUS:

Select the Start menu and search for Control Panel.

RESTART YOUR PRINTER

UPDATE THE FIRMWARE ON YOUR PRINTER

First, reset the wireless setup on your printer.
After completing the wireless setup, press the Information button on your printer's control panel.
If the printer prints the information page, then the issue is resolved.
If it does not print the Information page, the HP ENVY 6455e printer might be in recovery mode and needs to re-download the firmware.

When the printer is in recovery mode, it will automatically download the firmware.
Now, the printer will take about 2 hours to complete the firmware update.
Once the firmware is updated, ensure that you have fixed the error code E9.
